DEFTEC Awarded Multi-Base Contract Supporting HQ Air Force Global Strike Command's Directorate of Strategic Plans, Programs, and Requirements (A5/8) Basing Division

July 8, 2026

DEFTEC is honored to announce a new multi-base contract award in support of the B-21 Raider bed-down mission.

The B-21 Raider isn't just a new aircraft; it is the cornerstone of America's next-generation nuclear deterrence and global strike capability. Standing up the infrastructure, operations, logistics, and communications to support the Raider across multiple bases is one of the most consequential force integration efforts underway in the Air Force today. DEFTEC is proud to play a role in it.

Under this award, DEFTEC will provide Advisory and Assistance Support (A&AS) to HQ Air Force Global Strike Command's Directorate of Strategic Plans, Programs, and Requirements (A5/8) Basing Division, embedded across three bomber bases: Ellsworth AFB, SD · Whiteman AFB, MO · Dyess AFB, TX.

Our team will provide expertise across five critical mission areas, Civil Engineering, Logistics Management, Bomber Operations, Communications Infrastructure, and Administrative Support, working side-by-side with installation leadership to ensure the B-21's operational foundation is built right from the beginning.

This work reflects who DEFTEC is: a small business built around experienced professionals who understand the complexity of real defense programs. Our team brings direct operational, engineering, and logistics experience to every engagement, not just advisory distance. That's the standard our clients expect, and it's the standard we hold ourselves to.

We are grateful for the confidence HQ AFGSC has placed in our team, and we are committed to delivering the quality of support this mission demands.

Catching Up with the Wright-Patterson AFB Team

Catching Up with the Wright-Patterson AFB Team

June 4, 2026

Leadership visits don’t happen as often as we’d like, not because they aren’t important, but because our teams are spread across the country, embedded in critical missions at customer sites. That distance can make in‑person time rare, but it’s still something we make a priority at DEFTEC.
Yesterday, Linda Harris and James L. Harris spent time with our DEFTEC teammates at Wright‑Patterson Air Force Base. It’s always special when leadership can be face‑to‑face with the people representing the company every day on the ground.

Our on‑site teams build relationships, solve problems, and support missions that matter. Thank you to our incredible team for your professionalism, expertise, and the trust you build daily. And thank you to Patrick Foose for capturing the moment and sharing it with all of us.
Team DEFTEC continues to show what it means to show up, stand out, and support the mission.

New Contract Award: Vanguard

March 2, 2026

DEFTEC is proud to announce our selection as a NATO awardee under VANGARD (Vendor – Augmented Next‑Gen Guidance and Responsive Development), a critical enabler for NATO’s transformation and future readiness. This award places DEFTEC among a select group of industry partners entrusted to support Allied Command Transformation across multiple technical and strategic mission areas, including futures and strategy, emerging and disruptive technologies, and counter‑threat operations.

The VANGARD framework plays a vital role in strengthening NATO’s ability to Shape, Contest, and Fight across all domains. Through this award, DEFTEC will help deliver agile, high‑quality solutions essential to achieving that mission. Our team will contribute cutting‑edge capabilities in artificial intelligence, data science, automation, advanced training simulations, and next‑generation analytical tools, technologies that directly support NATO’s pursuit of technological superiority and operational coherence in increasingly complex environments.

Beyond technology development, DEFTEC will also support concept development, wargaming, modeling, experimentation, and scenario‑based assessments, enabling NATO to explore emerging risks, test new concepts, and refine future force design. These efforts are instrumental in shaping NATO’s strategic posture, informing policy planning, and enhancing decision‑making at the political‑military level.

With this award, DEFTEC is honored to expand our support to NATO’s mission. We remain committed to bringing innovation, agility, and deep expertise to help the Alliance meet evolving challenges head‑on. We’re excited to begin 2026 with this milestone achievement and look forward to continued growth and impactful work in support of the Alliance.

DEFTEC Colorado Springs Team Connects

DEFTEC Colorado Springs Team Connects

February 12, 2026

Linda Harris and James L. Harris recently visited Colorado Springs to connect with our amazing customers and team members there. One of the highlights was bringing employees from different contracts together in one room, reminding everyone that they’re not the only ones representing DEFTEC in COS!

They headed to WhirlyBall for some fun and friendly competition. Who knew a mix of bumper cars, lacrosse, and basketball could be such a blast? After a hard-fought series of games, the night’s MVP was Jason Dietrick, scoring 6 points in the final match. It was the perfect way to kick off the year and strengthen the bonds that make our team so successful.
A big thank you to everyone who joined team DEFTEC and made this event unforgettable. Here’s to collaboration, growth and keeping that family feel!
