Leadership visits don’t happen as often as we’d like, not because they aren’t important, but because our teams are spread across the country, embedded in critical missions at customer sites. That distance can make in‑person time rare, but it’s still something we make a priority at DEFTEC.
Yesterday, Linda Harris and James L. Harris spent time with our DEFTEC teammates at Wright‑Patterson Air Force Base. It’s always special when leadership can be face‑to‑face with the people representing the company every day on the ground.
Our on‑site teams build relationships, solve problems, and support missions that matter. Thank you to our incredible team for your professionalism, expertise, and the trust you build daily. And thank you to Patrick Foose for capturing the moment and sharing it with all of us.
Team DEFTEC continues to show what it means to show up, stand out, and support the mission.
DEFTEC is proud to announce our selection as a NATO awardee under VANGARD (Vendor – Augmented Next‑Gen Guidance and Responsive Development), a critical enabler for NATO’s transformation and future readiness. This award places DEFTEC among a select group of industry partners entrusted to support Allied Command Transformation across multiple technical and strategic mission areas, including futures and strategy, emerging and disruptive technologies, and counter‑threat operations.
The VANGARD framework plays a vital role in strengthening NATO’s ability to Shape, Contest, and Fight across all domains. Through this award, DEFTEC will help deliver agile, high‑quality solutions essential to achieving that mission. Our team will contribute cutting‑edge capabilities in artificial intelligence, data science, automation, advanced training simulations, and next‑generation analytical tools, technologies that directly support NATO’s pursuit of technological superiority and operational coherence in increasingly complex environments.
Beyond technology development, DEFTEC will also support concept development, wargaming, modeling, experimentation, and scenario‑based assessments, enabling NATO to explore emerging risks, test new concepts, and refine future force design. These efforts are instrumental in shaping NATO’s strategic posture, informing policy planning, and enhancing decision‑making at the political‑military level.
With this award, DEFTEC is honored to expand our support to NATO’s mission. We remain committed to bringing innovation, agility, and deep expertise to help the Alliance meet evolving challenges head‑on. We’re excited to begin 2026 with this milestone achievement and look forward to continued growth and impactful work in support of the Alliance.
Some of our corporate team and leaders - Linda Harris, James L. Harris, Ryan Beardsley - recently met up with some Arizona team members for a great lunch and team bonding time. These moments remind us that strong relationships fuel collaboration and success. At DEFTEC, we value every opportunity to connect with our teams across locations and celebrate the people who make our mission possible.
Here’s to building stronger connections and continuing to deliver excellence together!
Linda Harris and James L. Harris recently visited Colorado Springs to connect with our amazing customers and team members there. One of the highlights was bringing employees from different contracts together in one room, reminding everyone that they’re not the only ones representing DEFTEC in COS!
They headed to WhirlyBall for some fun and friendly competition. Who knew a mix of bumper cars, lacrosse, and basketball could be such a blast? After a hard-fought series of games, the night’s MVP was Jason Dietrick, scoring 6 points in the final match. It was the perfect way to kick off the year and strengthen the bonds that make our team so successful.
A big thank you to everyone who joined team DEFTEC and made this event unforgettable. Here’s to collaboration, growth and keeping that family feel!
Last week, Linda Harris and James L. Harris headed to Huntsville to meet with our incredible customers and team members in the area. They had the privilege of connecting with members of our corporate team, as well as colleagues working on contracts with the FBI, SpaceCom, and DTRA.
Huntsville isn’t just home to our largest contract, it’s also where our company headquarters is located. During the visit, we shared ideas about renovating our space to better support our growing team and future contracts. It’s exciting to think about creating a workspace that fosters collaboration and innovation for everyone.
We’re grateful for the opportunity to start the year with meaningful, in-person interactions. A big thank you to all our team members who joined us, and to those who made time to relax and connect at Topgolf!
Here’s to a year of growth, teamwork, and continued success!
